Klinsmann Reveals USMNT Roster For Camp Streusel

Coach Jurgen Klinsmann announced the roster for the three week training camp that starts tomorrow on Fox Soccer channel.  We had known a few names going into the broadcast including Eddie Johnson and Alejandro Bedoya.  Graham Zusi was a given for most people although he will miss week one, otherwise known as fitness week, during a training stint with West Ham.  There was bound to be a surprise or two as well based on the number of players unavailable with club obligations.  However, the roster was still expected to be larger than 23 players to give more guys a chance to be in camp.  Here is the roster named by Klinsmann.

GOALKEEPERS (3): Tally Hall (Houston Dynamo), Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire)

DEFENDERS (9): Steven Beitashour (San Jose Earthquakes), Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), A.J. DeLaGarza (LA Galaxy), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Connor Lade (New York Red Bulls), Alfredo Morales (Hertha Berlin), Justin Morrow (San Jose Earthquakes), Jeff Parke (Philadelphia Union)
MIDFIELDERS (8): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Alejandro Bedoya (out of contract), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Benny Feilhaber (Sporting Kansas City), Joshua Gatt (Molde), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)
FORWARDS (5): Juan Agudelo (Chivas USA), Will Bruin (Houston Dynamo), Edson Buddle (Colorado Rapids), Eddie Johnson (Seattle Sounders), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes)

Who is the top goalie in that list?

The list of defenders kind of looks like the lists from FIFA 13 that we had been sharing.   It is a bit of a surprise to see Connor Lade on the list.

It is nice to see Feilhaber back, but I am not sure it lasts.  The same goes for Brad Davis although Davis would seem to have a better chance to hang out than Feilhaber.  Where is Chris Pontius?  He supposedly is still nursing a groin injury. Brek Shea and Alan Gordon are bothered by injuries as well.

Also, no CJ Sapong included.

Maurice Edu and Jermaine Jones may join the squad later.

That is our initial reaction.  What is yours?
