The marquee fixture in the Premier League this weekend was Tottenham versus Manchester United. The match stayed 1-0 in favor of Manchester United for a majority of the time after a Robin Van Persie goal in the 25th minute off a Tom Cleverly cross. It was snowing for most of the match at White Hart Lane and the game went on after a last minute pitch inspection. The Spurs began pressing David De Gea and the United defense early in the second half. The United keeper used his legs to save several shots on the day including a great chance from Clint Dempsey. Dempsey would not be denied i the 93rd minute after a long cross resulted in a poor punch with the ball falling to Aaron Lennon. He would find Deuce to slot home a ball along the ground. The draw kept Tottenham in fourth place. You can see the goal after the jump.

Like most American soccer fans my age, I got into soccer heavily around 1994. While soccer wasn't an option where I grew up, I played other sports competitively with a pick up match on the pitch every now and then. I've stayed in tune with football across the world but realized I could still help spreading the wonders and intricacies of this game. I also follow the German game to stick with my ancestry, but the stories in American soccer are more intriguing.
I'm also a self-proclaimed dork, enjoy many types of music, and have worked in event management.
