Terrence Boyd and Herculez Gomez are not about to let Jozy Altidore take all the spotlight available for U.S. strikers. Each of them tallied this weekend. For Boyd the goal was his 15th in all competitions this year. He also recorded an assist in the 2-2 draw for Rapid Vienna. Meanwhile Herculez Gomez continues his strong early play in the Mexican Clausura for Santos Laguna. He sent in a swirling free kick that bounced under a lunging keeper. The goal helped Santos win 2-1 ahead of the CONCACAF Champions League return leg with Houston Dynamo. Both goals can be seen below.
Alejandro Bedoya, like Gomez, scored for the second straight week in a 5-0 victory for Helsingborgs.
Joe Gyau got the start for St. Pauli for the second straight week and played a big part in the build up for a goal.
