Zach started following soccer in the mid-1990s, satellite television and the early days of the Internet providing a springboard for a budding fanaticism in the sport. He has covered a variety of American and international sports online and in print since 2006 and was formerly the managing editor of Informative Sports. Encamped in the heart of Cascadia Cup territory, Zach provides his views on Major League Soccer and other notable soccer stories from Portland for The American Pitch in addition to working on the next book.
