Her having the best-selling kit demonstrates that she has become a star and role model for legions of younger fans in the country. As her play continues to be at an all-time high, so will her profile. At a time when the NWSL is looking for stars after the wave of retirements, they won’t have to look far past Rodman.
The Spirit themselves have six of the top-selling kits at the start of 2026. It may be that more eyes are on the team due to the popularity of a player like Rodman. If Rodman brings in new viewers to the league and team, players she plays with and against will become more popular.
The NWSL is using that formula to raise ratings and attendance. It’s working with Caitlin Clark of the WNBA so why not Trinity Rodman.
